Grace Baptist Church

What to Expect:

When we visit a church for the first time, there is always a feeling of apprehension. The question, "What can I expect?" looms in our mind. Let us try and set your mind at ease concerning what you might expect when you visit Grace Baptist Church by answering some of the questions that you may have in mind.

What sort of people will

I encounter?

First of all, you may expect to be greeted by a group of caring Christians. Our folks are just ordinary folks who have a desire to study God's Word in a Sunday School class and then worship the Lord in the church service that follows.

How should I dress?

You can expect some of our folks to dress more casually than others. Some of the men will wear a suit and tie while others will wear more casual dress. Some of the ladies will wear a dress while others will wear slacks and a blouse or sweater. God's Word simply tells us to dress in modest apparel (I Timothy 2:9) and that's what we endeavor to do here at GBC.

What translation of the Bible do you use?

I preach from the NKJV but may use references to other translations. What mattters to me is to find a Bible that you are comfortable reading and studying from.

How long do your services last?

I do not stare at a clock but in general try to keep the worship service to an hour.

God's plan for your life!

The best way to describe God is love. There may be moments in our lives when we question that, but I believe wholeheartly that Jesus Christ  bings about real change in our lives.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him would not perish, but have everlasting life."
(John 3:16)

Real life with Christ includes: forgiveness of sin and guilt, purpose and adventure in life, strength, and peace. All of this is yours in Christ Jesus.

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth Jesus as your Lord, and believe in thine heart that God has raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord Jesus shall be saved."
(Romans 10:9, 13)

The Church is the Body of Christ given to us so that we can grow together. We do this by loving one another as He loves us. We grow through fellowship, studying God's Word, and praying together. You are always welcome at Grace baptist Church.
